The recombinant human TMED1 /Fc is a disulfide-linked homodimer. The reduced monomer comprises 412 amino acids and has a predicted molecular mass of 46.2 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 57 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose and mannitol are added as protectants before lyophilization. Specific concentrations are included in the hardcopy of COA.

儲(chǔ)存方法: Store it under sterile conditions at -70℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

TMED1蛋白背景綜述

TMED1 is a member of the EMP24/GP25L family. It is widely expressed and contains 1 GOLD domain. TMED1 may play a role in vesicular protein trafficking, mainly in the early secretory pathway. It may act as a cargo receptor at the lumenal side for incorporation of secretory cargo molecules into transport vesicles and may be involved in vesicle coat formation at the cytoplasmic side. TMED1 binds to its receptor IL1RL1 and results in the activation of DNA binding by nuclear factor NF-kappa-B or transcription from the IL8 promoter and most likely requires other proteins to elicit these activities. Dendritic cells from Peyer's patches (but not from spleen) express TMED1 in response to treatment with LPS.
